Now is a time of action. The violence, injustice and violation of human rights in this country is out of hand. I believe we are nearing a complete system breakdown on so many fronts. The question is… will those who are taking action to shift violently dysfunctional systems and those who are creating new alternatives — will these efforts be more powerful and organized than the currently ruling efforts that will devolve into an even more militarized, use-of-force-power, system-that-only-works-for-the-few?
There are many different ways to act. Here is a visual I’ve been playing with to see some of the different types of action that are needed for systemic change. I needed to see the landscape for myself, to make sense of what all folks are doing (and why sometimes people disagree about strategies). I’d love your input, additions, disagreements, etc.
And I encourage us all? What’s your niche? Where do you act? What does your action look like? Cause if your heart is hurting in regards to what is happening right now, pick an area and do something about it. Please.
